At St Martin de Porres Catholic Primary School, caring for children and families is at the heart of our school community. We know that family life can sometimes be challenging, and there may be times when a little extra help can make a real difference.

Our 'Family Help' offer is designed to help families access support as soon as difficulties or additional needs emerge. This reflects Keeping Children Safe in Education 2026, which emphasises the importance of children and families receiving the right help at the right time.

Family Help might be useful if you are experiencing difficulties relating to family life, children's wellbeing, behaviour, attendance, housing, finances or other circumstances affecting your family.

Asking for help is a positive step. We want families to feel comfortable approaching us early, before difficulties become more challenging.

Where there are concerns about a child's safety or welfare, the school's safeguarding procedures will always be followed.
